Kong
Mark is currently in Hong Kong having accepted a part
in an action film currently in production over there. More details will
be released when he returns.
March 07 - "Displaced" movie
press premiere in the UK
Being Mark's brother, I was lucky enough to qualify for
a seat at the limited seating UK press premiere of the sci-fi/action
movie Displaced held at the Island upon the south promenade at St Annes
on Sea in Lancashire on the 8th March. The film, produced by Skylandian
Pictures, starring Mark Strange and featuring a host of fresh new faces,
which has taken 5 years or so to make, literally flies along at breakneck
pace with humour and real bone crunching action. English version dvds
of the film may be available in the last quarter of 07, so I won't spoil
your viewing by delving into the plot and action - you've waited this
long ;).
January 07 - Sifu Mark is currently concentrating
upon his film and movie career, and regrets that he can not teach martial
arts at this time.
2006 - The Movie "Underground"
- filming completed in just a few short months.
I played a small role as a gangster screaming at the final
fight in an "Underground" fight scene. Fans of the martial arts
may spot a few faces they know appearing as fighters when it is released
in this country. Besides starring, Mark also helped to produce Underground
(as he did with Displaced) along with Chee Keong Cheung and all at Intense
Productions.
November 03 - 'The Medallion', starring
Jackie Chan and Lee Evans, and featuring Sifu Mark as a henchman, is released
at the movies.
November 03 - Sifu Mark is to hold
a Sparring Seminar (mainly for experienced practitioners) on 9th November
2003

April 02 - Mark Returns from China April 02 -
Leyland based Kung Fu Teacher, Mark Strange, has recently returned from his
latest training tour to China where he has spent two weeks training with his
masters in Foshan.
Mark, who has over 18 years experience in Chinese martial arts, went over
to China in April to meet up again with Master Lun who is a renowned teacher
of Wing Chun. Mark has met Master Lun on previous visits and has received
extensive training in the art. While there, Mark was presented with a limited
edition ceremonial award to mark the opening of the Bruce Lee Museum in Foshan.
Said Mark, "China is like my second home and the Kung Fu families lead such
a simple and humble life but are so welcoming. I have learnt a great deal
from this latest visit and I'm now back in the area teaching at several new
locations."
Mark also spent some time in Hong Kong promoting his show reel for film and
television work. Since the closure of his full-time premises earlier this
year, Mark is now teaching privately but is offering class tuition at several
venues.
